Colleen's Kids - BRAVEHEARTS

  • Caring for 107 disabled children and some orphans with HIV for 20 years in Phnom Penh, Cambodia
  • Living in a large, airy and light filled community home with food producing gardens and play areas
  • Providing medical attention, nutritional food, drinking water, sanitation, rehabilitation, counselling, happy outings, and lots of love!
  • Caregivers are local “Mammas” – (whose health and wellbeing are also cared for) and volunteers from Australia and elsewhere – interested?

Managed by an Australian, my good friend Colleen Kennedy, a woman so committed to the loving care of these children that she sold her home and business in Balmain and moved there permanently

There is an ongoing need for nappies and wipes, clothing, disinfectant, hand sanitizers and physiotherapy equipment.  They have only a few wheelchairs for all these kids:   yet a locally made wheelchair in Cambodia only costs AUS $200.

WILL YOU PLEASE MAKE A DONATION TO HELP THESE CHILDREN?

Sheela

Sheela lives in Kathmandu and has been sponsored by Sandra and her husband from the time she was 6 years old.  She is now 17.  Recently Sheela was diagnosed with a brain tumour which had to be removed urgently. She underwent the operation, is now recuperating and has sadly lost her sight.

Sandra has assisted financially by raising funds through her network of friends to ensure that the operation took place quickly  and Sandra is now raising funds to support Sheela during her rehabilitation.
